New Tree

The owners of the duplex behind us cut down a beautiful curly willow which was about 40 feet tall behind one unit and the large plum tree behind the other unit.  With it gone, the decks from duplex behind us would look right into our yard. 

Los dueños de un dúple detras de nosostros cortaron un suace enorme que media mas de 12 metros por un lado y un ciruelo que tambien era bastante grande por el otro lado.  Sin esos arboles, las terrazas que son elevadas tiene una vista estupenda de nuetros jardin.

With our privacy was gone we needed to plant our own tree but what type?   Con nuestra intimidad terminada, teniamos que plantar nuestros proprios arboles, pero de que tipo?


Ken found geological treasure when he went to dig the hole.  Ken encontro un tesoro geologico cuando se puso a cavar uno de los hojos.

And here the new tree which we hope will be big and tall and beautiful some day.   Y aqui esta el nuevo arbol que esperamos que sea alto, grande y hermoso algun dia.

Un puente para bajo pero sin muertes

Hola Familia - como habraes oido un puente muy importante se derumbo ayer localizado al norte de Seattle.  Eva vino a Seattle a verme y hacer unas cosas.  Afortunadamente volvío a casa como a las tres de la tarde para poder recoger su hijo del colegio antes de las seis.  Normalmente hubiera estado los dos con nosostros en Seattle hasta como las siete para evitar el trafico.  

No tememos preocupaciones ahora mismo, pero esta autopista es la via principal entre Seattle y Bellingham donde vive Eva y su familia.  

Hello everyone - as you may have heard, a very important bridge which carries both lanes of the interstate north of Seattle collapsed.  Eve came to see me in Seattle as well as run a few errands.  Fortunately, she returned home around 3 that afternoon in order pick up her son from his afterschool program before six.  Normally, both of them would have been with us until about seven to avoid the heavy traffic.  

No worries right now, but this interstate is the principle way to travel between Seattle and Bellingham, where Eve lives with her family.
